Swiss Chamber Poland

The Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce was established in 1998 and has its registered office in Warsaw. The Chamber is a voluntary organization
established in accordance with the Polish law. It is not supported financially by any public institutions. The Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce cooperates with the majority of Swiss companies in Poland. It has about 180 members. Our mission is the development of a friendly trade environment for Polish-Swiss business links. Aims:
– Facilitating business activities of the Members of the Chamber
– Representing Swiss investors in Poland and Polish investors in Switzerland
– Promoting and facilitating Polish-Swiss trade relations
– Developing a positive attitude towards Swiss investments in Poland and Polish investments in Switzerland

Switzerland Global Enterprise

Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) based in Zurich is the official Trade and Investment Promotion Organization of Switzerland. The Swiss Business Hub Poland represents Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) on the Polish market. We offer our services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Switzerland and Liechtenstein to help them launch and develop their business relations in Poland. Based at the Swiss Embassy in Warsaw, the Swiss Business Hub Poland benefits from a widespread network of contacts and the know-how of experts. The SMEs can therefore enjoy direct access to major players in the commercial, social, political, scientific and cultural fields.
The Swiss Business Hub Poland is also the first point of contact for local companies interested in investments in Switzerland. We will inform you about the advantages of Switzerland as a business location and can offer you information about Swiss economic and business structure. Furthermore we can support you in establishing direct contacts to relevant institutions, organisations and experts in Switzerland.

Alumni Association, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, Warsaw University of Technology

The Alumni Association is a leading non-governmental organisation of this kind in Poland, which for nay years has concentrated its activity on creating mechanism of cooperation between business and academia, stimulating entrepreneurship in students and scientists, as well as complementing the university curriculum with training that addresses the needs of today’s economy. The Faculty’s alumni who are professionally active number more that 20 thousand. But the Association’s activity encompasses a far larger community, that includes representatives of other faculties and universities.

The Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology is the biggest faculty of the Warsaw University of Technology and one of the biggest faculties of all Polish universities, with around 4000 students of types of studies and an academic staff of over 300. The roots of the Faculty date back to scientific activity in the field of communication at the Institute of Technology established in 1898. Currently the Faculty possesses the highest grade for a scientific unit “A+” as bestowed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and regularly is classified in 1st place in the most notable ranking of Polish academic units teaching electronics and IT.

An interesting fact is that the writer Ian Fleming, when creating the fictional character of Ernst Blofeld – the arch enemy of James Bond, described him as an alumni of electronics at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Franke

For over 100 years Franke is synonymous of quality and innovation in the design and production of kitchen systems, sanitary and catering facilities. The company is an ambassador for Swiss quality and precision that distinguishes produced by the company- sinks and faucets, but also cooker hoods, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, and sorting of waste. Franke, with headquarters in Aarburg, employs 9 000 employees around the world, has 72 offices in more than 37 countries. In Poland, the company has been operating since 1993, has its own manufacturing facility in Nowy Sękocin near Warsaw and has significant share in the domestic market of sinks.
